Default 18x9.5 wheels on an Ek9 Civic?!?!

http://speedoption.com/features/cars.php?carID=91

This crazy guy put these badass 18x9.5 wheels 9.5!!!!! on his car. I realize that the way he did it was with those fender flares I think?! I love the look! does anyone know
where to get those fender flares? (yes I tried searching the name it had listed in description)
Exactly how you go about fitting a 9.5 wide wheel on a civic and is the turn radius still the same?
thanks everyone!

well if you guys think its "hideous and stupid" then I love it! I like the different look so the less people doing it the better. I think it looks like a BMW with the deep lip wide tires and flares. It looks gorgeous but everyone is intitled to their own opinion. I think the guy could have blended his fenders into the shape of the body kit more. Which I would probably do thats all I have to say about that.

I dunno guys looks pretty good to me? Deep liped wheels! and correct me if Im wrong but wont the wider wheel alow you to utilize the horsepower and torque. Isnt it the wider the wheel the better?

Im not a fan of the whole graphics, neons, altezzas or any of the rice crap but I think that this would give it a more aggressive stance and look classy and mean like a BMW thats a nice look I mean who sees a beemer and calls it ugly really?

Sorry for being the first one not going for the JDM look.

I agree but that brings me to the first point anyone know where to get the fenders or if the car will still perform the same? I wont sacrifice performance for looks then it becomes not worth it!

it does not look hideous. it looks like a show car. i would not recomend it for the street but for a show car its cool.the fender flares are Bomex i believe.I dont know why everyone always gives useless comments on how a car looks. Obvisouly the owner and his peers like the way the car looks,so it shouldnt matter what the hell we think about it.

sure the wider is better... but 18"? you'd have a better chance on the track with some rota's plus that bimmer pic you posted doesnt even have a lip... deep dish, fender flares and ish... http://www.importfan.com

i wouldn't say it looks Horrid for a show car/flasshy drift style ****.... BUT... It DEFINITELY doesn't look like its low to the ground, and it should have been dropped even more, because those 4x4's are fukin huge. But if there's enough Horses under the hood, you wouldn't have to worry about traction control.

You can find plenty of wheels with a polished lip to fit a civic, but 18's are too big on a civic.

You'd sacrifice alot of performance. It would take a heck of a lot of torque that your honda doesn't have to get that thing moving properly. There is such a thing as too much tire and that is it right thee.

I just don't really see any point to it. If you just want it to look "cool" then by all means go right ahead, but from a performance, usefullness, drivability standpoint you'll be taking a few large steps backward. You could find some proper sized wheels that could look just as good and not give you all the headaches that doing this would. And the reason that BMWs have wheels like that is because 1. they are rwd and 2. thats how they're suspensiopn is designed. Hondas were not meant to work with wheels like that. Just my opinion.

Also you've got the guy's email address right there on that page. Why don't you just email him and ask him where he got the fenders?
