First Time - doing front and rear brakes on a 98 Accord coupe V6...Any how-to tips?
I need to replace front and rear brakes on my 98 Coupe V6. I plan on using Brembo blanks and Hawk HPS pads. I have never done brakes on an Accord so I was wondering if I will run into any commom problems and/or if anyone has any tips, website how-to, etc....
Thanks

Im almost positive that on the later model accords the front hub assemply has to be pressed back on due to the design of the bearing/hubassembly, i had to take my 97 accord to a machine shop to have the hubassemply pressed back on. I could be wrong tho, maybe they changed it but i would look into it befor starting, maybe get a maintenence manual for your car they are a big help. good luck
I believe '97 was the last year for those pressed-on rotors. The rotors on our '98 come off the normal way...
Rear brake calipers have the handbrake auto-adjust mechanism. You have to twist the pistons clockwise, to push them in to make room for the new pads.

Yeah, I think the 97's were the last year for pressed on rotors as well. That is also for the front only. The rear's came off like normal.
