i don't see why they would fail you for that, but they'll most likely tell you that you need to fix it. here's a checklist of stuff they look for...

wow. That's quite a lot. Here in Illinois, we only have to get smogged every 5 years if the car is a 99 or newer. before then...gotta do it every year.

That's why you never go to a franchised auto repair shop to get inspections. They're always strict as hell. Go to a mom-and-pop shop and get them to do it.

I had it replaced and now the f'n light is on again and im due for inspection. i wanted to get the car inspected this weekend hopefully w/o having to fix anything right this min again!!!! ****** sucks. but we'll see... i appreciate all the imput.

interesting, they're generally more lax here in SW va...you should try calling the garage first and asking them, they probably will be able to tell you over the phone if the abs light is grounds for rejection. that could save you some time and trouble in getting it fixed right now. good luck!

maybe pull the ABS light out for the inspection? When i went and got my car rejected the guy didn't look to see if the dummy lights all lit up before he started the car

I live in northern VA, I have cold air intake, headers, high flow cat and exhaust... my check engine light was on when i went and got the emisions and inspection done about a month ago.. They let it pass with no problem i know its not the ABS light but if you live near Herndon i can tell you where i went to get it done..

Exactly, go to a mom & pop place or a shop in the ghetto or country where they dont care! Im sure if you explain yourself you will be fine anyway! Just ask before you let them take it in and see if it will pass! I think you will be fine though.
