Wheel Poll – Help me choose
I need some help deciding what wheels to keep and which to sell. Here's the specs on the 2 wheels.
Wheel on left –17” BSA 187 w/ Nitto 555 – 38 lbs
Wheel on right – 16” SSR Integral w/ Kumho Ecsta Supra – 32lbs
(Stock wheels and tires weight about 34lbs each for reference.)
As far as looks go, I like the 17’s. Wheel styling is a tie. Performance wise, the 16’s.
I’ve driven with both and the Nittos are much better than the Kumho’s, if I stick with the SSR’s I’m going to have to buy new tires. The ride is not as rough as the 17’s though still much stiffer than the stock tires. I couldn’t feel a difference in acceleration, handling was perhaps a little crisper with the 17’s, but that could be the tires.
I’m not sure which ones to keep and which to sell. I need some input.

personally i dont like either, but its your car. I would choose the 16's just cause they look almost exactly a like but if you blow out a tire your gonna really feel the difference $$$$$$

I like 5 spoke rims and got a good deal on these.
Looks like the 16's are winning...

Didn't know this, thanks. What about Nitto 555's, or the Potenza's, or Azenis?
Since I'll probably be keeping the 16's and selling the 17's, I need some tire recommendations.

Stay away from the nitto 555's, those things bubble up after a while.
Some guy posted a pic once, it looked like a golf ball in his tires.

Well, you're a ricer.
From that picture of your car, have your flame suit ready for hi-jacking the thread.

I will personally recommend Falken Ziex 512s. great grip, wet or dry, great price and the ones I had (205/60/14) were about 11 pounds. I would assume they would be pretty light in your size.
I'm sure there's lighter and/or better tires out there, but that's what I can recommend from experience.

I recommend Falken Ziex also.
I had them on my volks le37t, if it wasn't for the rim protector they had in the tires, my volk's would of been all dented/cracked.
And yes, they were sticky as hell. Instead of peeling out, my prelude would just hop, no wheel spin.
