Default ITR springs on an EK hatch

will it lower it much?
I just started to install them on my g/f hatch. (stock motor) I just did the fronts annd well it seems to have raised the car...??? wtf. I have it installed right as far as I know and have read
ill double to check to see if they are indeed itr springs.. (edit: they are!!!)

if so . any thoughts as to why it would be the same as stock height(actually looks higher).
thanks
some after pics of hatches with them would be nice..i couldnt find any .

I hope its not cause of the weight of the engine

i thought they would lower the car. the springs were shorter when comparing stock to itr before i put them in.

even though the spring is shorter, the spring rate of the spring is higher than your hatch, so more than likely, the hatch will be higher. correct me if im wrong tho.

I think you may be right.. the hatch probably dosen't weigh enough, or have the proper weight distribution.

that is really shitty.
i never thought of that till after.

so are aftermarket springs a lot shorter or something? cause the spring rates on them will be just as high if not higher for a hb but they still lower the car.

anyone have experience with itr's on a stock hb?

i saw some pics of someone who had then in his eg coupe and it looked fine.

and from i rmember they weigh very close

So have you just put the fronts on or both the front and the back?

First of all, if you've just done one end, there's really no way to tell how the car is going to sit when your done. Also, make sure you didn't end up with the fronts on the rear and the rears on the front.

that looks pretty nice but they are still pretty high, those rims look pretty big too so the wheel well should be covered up more

true. they do sit higher then normal lowering springs but thats ok..kinda of the look i am after but i didnt realize it would sit so much higher. i have only done the fronts so I guess it makes sense that it would sit a little lower once done .

im 100% sure i have the fronts on the front

I have them on my 96 Civic. It sits higher but I don't care, it handles great.

lol, I agree.

Try H&R OE Sport Springs. Lowers it a bit with sportier feel.

This wont help but it might help you sell your springs.

ITR Springs on EM1 does lower the car about 1 inch in back and 1.5 inches in front.

awesome pics, thanks guys!
I ifnished it up this aft and it looks like the hatch pic.

pretty much like stock. the front did drop some over night and a tiny bit once the backs were on.

It does handle quite a bit nicer then stock thats for sure!

great mod for $20 and some time.

Haha...hmm I wonder who's done that before?

The car does look a little high though. You could drive over the parking lips with that thing.
