its a day to celebrate...i picked up my red 02 today
after months, and months, and months, and months of waiting (since may to be precise) i finally got my s2k. red 02 w/ black interior. 28k miles...i looooove it. too bad i'm so pooped...otherwise i'd actually take it out for a drive
i'm kinda pissed...because whoever had the car before put on some cheapy cheapy rear tires, rather than doing the s0-2. everytime i hit a corner, it gets very tail happy. and in most instances, breaks loose. Even when i blip the gas rolling around in 1st gear @ low speeds, it spins the tires. So i'm gonna have to wait till i get new tires until i get accustomed to it. But, until then...i got my first mod sitting in the garage already, just waiting...a baker battery. drop about 20 lbs from the stock one their...being skinny is my goal.
welcome to the crew
have fun with your new toy....weight reduction is good thing for a 1st mod...the s2ki is a pig

Bro,
Congrads on the purchase. Before you get too worked up about the tires, get the car aligned but don't use the factory specs.
You want:
Front Camber -1.2 or close to this
Front Toe -0.0
Front Caster As much as possible.
Rear Camber -1.5 to -2.0
Rear Toe Factory spec.
It should improve your handling dramatically. Mine is very close to this except for rear camber. I have mine lowered about 1 1/2 in. and the least amount of rear camber that I could get is -2.2. I am very happy with the handling.

It is actually the UK spec alignment settings for a stock car. I think you will be very pleased with it.
