Do I need to disconnect my battery for this?
This may be dumb.... but I need to solder a new socket onto my turn signal wiring... Do I need to disconnect the battery for this.... I kinda think I do.... but I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance

You sure about that? I was thinking there could still be current flowing because of the alarm system? But at the same time, there obviously isn't current flowing because the lights aren't on. The reason I don't want to disconnect my battery is because my alarm transmitter has been funky and I'm afraid I won't be able to turn the alarm off once it goes off after reconnecting the battery. Anyone else sure I won't shock myself soldering wires?
haha if you did get shocked it wouldnt hurt that much... lol i know from experience
but yeah do what Mr soccergk2003 said to do...

it takes half a second to pull the negative termial off your battery. Its extra insurance you wont fry anything. I reccomend it for doing any kind of work on your car

just make shure that when you disconnect the battery, if you got the stock radio, you have a code for it to turn it back on.
