Tach signal wire is the blue wire from your dizzy and it will go all the way up to gauge cluster
I believe that is the color at the dizzy. But for sure it's blue at the cluster

Run it to your Radio fuse.

well obliously the wire comes to the gauge cluster so its smarter to tap it under there instead of your engine bay

I'm not sure exaclty which wire it is, but you can also get a tach signal off ur ECU. Thats where I'm getting my tach signal.
Red - I'm getting power off my lights
black - ground obviously

as far as i kno

here's how mine is wired up

Green -- tach signal running off ECU somewhere
Black -- ground
Red -- Powered off my interior lights/radio/cig lighter (on the fuse panel)
White -- powered by my headlights (when turned on) (<<for the backlite on tach)

i am only will be using a shift light so i wouldnt be usuing a white wire anyway only the green, red and the black 1. so i can just hook the red wire to any fuse or certian fuse like the radio, cig stuff like that ?

correct.

since the cig lighter, ur radio and interior lights are always getting power the fuse for the cig lighter/interior lights/radio will work to power the shift light

there might be a better way to do it, but the way i have always done it, and the way ive seen everyone else do it is:

pull out the desired fuse, wrap part of the wire on the fuse part that plugs in, then push the fuse back into the slot.

sorry if that doest make much sence, but im sure you get the idea

the fuse box has the male connector so you will need to crimp a female connector onto the red wire...for the sake of doing things the right way, please do it like this.

everyone wraps wires in the fuse box lol, doesnt look pretty but it gets the job done and works fine

But I wanna know what tach wire is in the gauge cluster. Ive never had it off before but Im assuming there will be more than one wire

Unlike buddy ricer that made the thread, Im not just gonna go "oh **** theres a blue wire, tap that, **** theres a red, tap that, duhhhhhhhhhhh why dont it work"

"my perform (its proform) light no workie, duh, sooo, HELP

ya'll are funny.. you can also get tach from any injector plug, just get the odd ball wire on any of them. There will be a common color wire on all 4 injectors, you want the opposite of that wire. you can also get it from the distributor, just get a multimeter and set it to dcV and hook it up the positive to a distributor wire and the other end to ground, start the car, and test each wire, the tach wire will go up and down with the rpms. simple.

I'd rather **** with wires that aren't critical for my car running, and doesn't tear stuff up. The Accessory plugs in the fuse panel are the greatest thing ever. Use them.
