Getting back into EF's - possibly with a CRX
I sold my 2nd Si hatch last November and have caught myself going *wooo - 4th gen ! * too many times since to count . Decent older Civics are getting fairly rare in New England but I happened to find a 91 burgandy CRX with a For Sale sign on it this weekend that only has a minimal , nickle sized rust spot at rear end of the rear wheelwell which doesn't seem to be too hard to fix and is otherwise in decent shape with ~ 135k on it . It has Si style alloys ( no Recaros and no sunroof ) but no badging - that would make it a DX or did the HF get color matched bumpers as well ? I've never owned a 1.5/DPFI car and I really am not about chasing HP with this but is it really noticibly less fun to drive or should I budget for a swap of some sort and/or an Si tranny ? I think I can get it for ~ $2k , probably not an outstanding price but there aren't as many to be found here these days .
the dx and si tranny have almost the same radio's.... if its a dx u would want to do the mpfi swap now thats a bit more fun.
dont quote me though.
