This is a 99 ls. stock motor, unsure of boost level he is going to run yet. T3/T4 50 trim with a precision .48 stage 3 turbine housing. Chipped p06 running uberdata, 440's. Charge pipes are 2.5". Leaving it up to my customer to paint or whatever. Precision ic, turbosmart rfl bov. all parts (except turbo, mani, dp, charge pipes..etc..) supplied by camp1320. ARP studs and act clutch.

To get that port match you torched it till it was red and then clamped it down?

looks pretty good. are you going to add a dump pipe for the wastegate or are you just going to leave it as is?

Legendboy just put on a dump pipe this evening. Overall it's coming together pretty nicely. I'm very happy with the man's work! I'll be running without a boost controller this winter so about 7-8 psi planned. Once spring hits I might (I know I'll want to) turn it up to 10-11psi...
I appologize for the dirty pics above. The weather up here was nasty this weekend...

looks like you burned through w/out proper back-purging while welding the inside of the port entry, #2 cylinder. Just an observation

I think thats where I contaminated my tungsten, can't quite remember. Definatly didn't burn thru welding the inside of the port.

I cut it after the manifold was welded.

does cutting it keep it from warping? my mani just warped and i had it resurfaced. should i cut it while its off?

if you have a log mani then you should cut it at each hole.

it will allow the mani to expand when hot and contract when its cold. that way it will not warp. 98ctr

by cutting in between each runner it basically allows for a little expansion and contraction, having turned the head flange effectively into 4 smaller flanges with a slight gap between them!
