Default EG hatch Front lower brace

Are these any good:

Do they help with understeer and wheel hop/traction?

Cheers

If you want to help wheelhop, get traction bars. That front brace may help rigidity but probably won't do much for understeer. If you want to help that, **** with tire pressures, spring rates, damper settings, and/or change your sway bar sizes (or invest in them if you don't have them already).

EDIT--If you buy that thing, there's a write-up on here on how to install it. Or it's linked from here to another board, but anyway, it's directions for the installation.

Why's that.

You try a search for front lower cross brace and see what you get

Yes, that will slightly reduce understeer due to alignment changed caused bychassis deflection, and it will reduce wheel hop due to movement in the front LCAs. Used in combination with a love fab traction bar, wheel hop will be almost completely eliminated, but there are better ways of reducing understeer.

As for that particular brand, the ebay special, I can't say as I've never seen one in person. Some of that crap on ebay they sell as chassis bracing flexes like a palmtree in a florida hurricane.

It's the wheel hop i'm interested in reducing as i already have a uprated whiteline fron sway bar, cusco tower bar and tein coilovers.

if you want to reduce wheel hop buy a z10 traction bar:
http://www.z10eng.com

as for that blue 'h' bar if you buy one off ebay or megan racing you going to have a big headache that thing needs to be shaved down so much that the bar isnt worth having.

whats worth while is the front lower tie bar preferably from jic-magic once piece with no flex points coupled with z10 traction bar

we just threw one on my buddy's sol a few weeks ago. It made a noticeable difference in normal cornering. For the price, it beats the hell out of a normal lower tie bar. The only reason I haven't gotten one is that it won't clear my 3" down pipe.

Will I have any problems with clearance as I have a B18c with a DC JDM 4-1 Header in my EG hatch?
