alright im having a mojor prob wiht my 91 civic when u go to jump start the car whichj is a brand new battery with a new alternator i dunno if the belt is tihgt enough to spin the rotor, so we jump started the car andas soon as u take the cables of even after they were on the car for a while charging it the car dies right then and there even while i give it gas then when i go to start it nothing happen i go to hit the horn and its like a reallly low horn thats starts to die as u hold it it like fades any info would help plz sry if hard to understand just post and ill try to make it clear
It sounds like you are grounding out somewhere from your battery. Remove the battery cables and check to see if the insulation is broken on them at all and if so are they touching any part of your engine bay to ground out?
Also you should be able to see if the alternator pulley is being driven from the engine when the engine is on. I know you said you cant get it to turn on but jump start it and see.
