if the 5th gen lude, there is a panel underneath the radio on the passenger side, take off the cover, and there lies the plug, take out the harness and use a piece of wire to connect the two prongs together and count the blinks in the speedometer
something in ur engine bay comes lose while ur car in motion....or running causing vibration to get lose....pop up ur hood...check for sensor....push in all sensor you see...

Have you checked your gas cap? I rememeber driving along and my CEL popping on; didn't feel a loss in power, nothing abnormal. Got home, checked the gas cap and I hadn't tightened it down past 3 clicks. Quick fix? Check the gas cap, tighten it down and unhook the battery for 30 seconds to reset the CEL. If it's something else, the CEL will come back and you'll have to check the code as outlined in previous threads.

ok guys, thank you for your help, i suppose i didnt search hard enough, my fault, i apologize. im getting a 67 (6 long flashes and 7 short ones) and the website that 98typesh posted says that has something to do with the catalytic converter (mine is gutted), so im guessing i should just reset it. thanks again guys
If your cat is gutted, and you're still running an OBD2 ecu, then the CEL you're getting is most likely for the 2ndary o2 sensor reading elevated CO and CO2 levels; no big deal.
