cluster questions HELP!!!!!
Someone's gonna post before I finish writing this:
There's two cover tabs on the back of the hood by the windshield. Pop them off, then there's 2 phillips head screwd under that. Take those out.
There's 2 phillips head screws under the hood on the front on the left and the right of the steering column. Take those out and then your hood should be loose. Don't yank on it yet.
Pop out the switches on the left and right of the hood (whatever you have depending on the year usually rear defrost, dimmer and whatnot) and take out the clips. The hood will now be free and you can take it off.
Now, with your cluster exposed, you can see on either side of it the four screws needed to remove the cluster. Take those 4 out then remove the 2 wire clips on the back and the speedo cable.
There's actually 8 screws back there, but 4 hold on the cluster, and the other 4 are for the mounts that the cluster goes on. You can really remove either technically but IMO the cluster screws will make your life eisier.
Remove it then do whatever you need.
