just take it off, and take a rubber hammer and tap it lightly and try to pop it back out, it might crack the paint slightly, but since no paint came off when it was dented in, the paint might not come off when you tap it out, atleast try to fix it before taking it to a shop or getting a new one

I know that here in Cali there are dent removal places that fix those types of dents and leave them mint. You might want to check out a dent removal place around your area.

I had a dent just like that on my car. My dad popped it out with the handle off of my floor jack. He got under the car and pushed it out, took some time though. Talk about unorthodox. Now my bumper is mint.

I fixed a depression very much like yours my warming from the inside, around the spot w/ propane torch (carefully), and firm licks w/ a rounded end of a 2x4 driven by a hammer. It wasn't a perfect repair (shape returned but some noticeable roughness), but much better than original.

good luck

the longer you wait to pop that dent out...the harder it will be...as the sun will bake it into that shape......

He had to work at it a little bit. He would push at it in a certain spot, move the end of the handle to a different section of the dent, push out, move the handle, etc.
