try going over everything and re-tightening everything that can be found.it is an old car, so it is kind of expected anyways. however, if you have some stiff motor mounts like Hasports, you might as well give it up...

there's rubber nubs on the left and right of the hatch
they're threaded peices of rubber, unscrew them some and that will apply pressure on the hinge and should quiet the rattling.

I did a similar thing. I removed them and then placed a thin 2mm rubber washer in there to lift it up a bit and screwed them back in. That stoped the squeaking.
