UCA or LCA
Okay my driver side upper control arm ball joint is shot along with my passenger side lower control arm bushing. I can't get the car aligned because of this and my car is pulling to the side during hard acceleration. It also shakes. If I let go of the wheel it will stay pretty straight but the steering wheel will go back and forth a little. If I take a corner to quickly it feels like I'm going to lose it. My question is what should I replace first? I'm afraid something will happen while driving and I don't have enough to replace both right now. I just need to replace the bushing on the lca while I have to purchase the entire uca to replace the ball joint. My funds are kinda of limited right now and I need to figure out which to replace before this fri. I don't want to replace the bushing only to have the ball joint fail on me before I can get it fixed and vise versa.
doh. i had those parts at my parent's house in LA, but they threw them out. you can usually find entire used LCAs for cheap because ppl upgrade them to ones w/ swaybar holes. when i swapped to teg brakes, the knuckle came with the UCA, so i had leftover UCAs. i bet you could find 'em pretty easy in a honda junkyard
Sorry I forgot to mention both parts are for the front on my 93 si. I was thinking about hitting up the junkyard but I don't want to have to buy new ones again later since they are off 12 yr old cars.
