Hey i was thinking about painting my ek hb but was wondering if i should leave the triangular base of the ctr mirrors black, and the rest the color of the car. A good example would be the new RSX-Type S mirrors, half black, half colored.

Would like u guys to post some pics of ur EK HB/ Coupe of this. I tried searching the but topic is too vastly covered. Hit me up with some pics to help me decide, thanks.

i think it will look ok

 

i think it would look a bit funny. I wouldnt do it, yet if you think it looks great, then for you cause you will be the one looking at it every day.

 

i think it will look nice. I think i saw on a teg or vic once(can't remember), I didn't even notice it at first. the triangle blends in with the rubber or black plastic trim. I say go for it. Plus that rsx's black sticks out to the side, bot ctr's don't so it'll actually look better.

 

I think it will look cool.

hey when u had it that way, did it look cheesy? Honest opinion plz, imma paint on monday.

 

i have mine painted black...no pics though.

 

The reason I don't like it on the stock mirrors, is because the black black runs partially into the mirror itself, looks a little akward. No offense to the silver car posted above, your car looks great, but that black base is not my style on stock mirrors. On the Spoon and Vision type MC and TC's, because the mirror and base are so straigh cut, it looks a little cleaner. Just my opinion.

oh how bout some regular Ctr mirror pics then!? that helps too. Compare & contrast (56k user, seraching for pics isnt too fun)

i thought it looked dope. the only reason i ditched the CTRs was cuz i couldnt see **** out of em so i bought some fake spoons. but when i had em, i recieved quite a few compliments on em

bottom line tho, if u like it, go for it. i did

I just threw the car in the paintshop today... i chose the RSX gunmetal color as shown above ^^^..... i will get my car back on saturday!!! And i will leave the base black.
thats my decision...
