newbie question...

I know this is a newb question 'n' all, but please refrain from flaming...
Is it damaging to the engine to remove the factory air-box cover?

No it wont do any harm. It will be a bit louder and you might feel a slight loss in power, but it wont hurt the engine. Why are do you want to run it without the cover on?
