help with energy suspension tie rod boots

Default help with energy suspension tie rod boots

so i get the old boot off, and now im trying to get the new one on but it doesnt to be tall enough to go over the part where the little "spring clap" goes around and locks it into the tie rod... any suggestions ?

i searched and found nothing.

Zip ties!!

Or not. Is there anything in the new one that will slip into that spot in the ball joint to hold it in place, or is it smooth all the way through the middle?

would prefer to not be "ghetto"

there is nothing in the boot that will hold it in place.

dont worry about it.....i put some one mine...the grease, and the pressure from the tie rod holding on keeps it together....

I didn't really care for the es boots. I did this also.

**** man this was covered about 2 years ago damnit and i cant remember what the guy did but he had the full kit and all and i think he didnt use em to tell ya the truth cause of that problem u may want to email ES and find out how to use em....goto the autox forum and ask there also they maybe able to help out there

yeh i found this


"Yeah, I have the (basically) whole master kit installed. Its great, especially because my old bushings were torn up. I dont reccomend installing the tie rod, and steering end boots. Just get new factory ones. They suck. All the other bushings are top quality though. Ryan"

LOL, ya I typed that. Those es boot dont keep the dirt out, real bad design.
