Launching.....help
What do you guys suggest is a good RPM to drop it at. Cause there are a few cars that want to race me and i haven't launched or even tried yet. I've done it once but that was in the pouring rain which im not going to count cause i was tached out until 2nd thats when i let off cause there was no point. So please give me some feed back on what to do and where to dump the clutch at....thanks
awww my bad, thats your car...im sorry for not asking but that car has been my background picture on my comp for about 2 months.......im in love with it....sorry anyways......
Can't help with the launching, but I'm stumped by the # (1825) of your Type R!?!?
I've never seen a # > 1600 or so for R's of '00 or '01, and rumor here has always been there were approx. 1500+- of them produced each year. Now it appears closer to 2000 were made, assuming your number is correct...
Has anyone else seen Type R numbers as high as this?

Launch anywhere from 5,000 rpm -5,900 rpm on street tires. ;-) thats the only way to launch a type R. Let ur foot on the clutch rise right before the friction point then rec it up. once xmas tree hits full throttle and ease ur foot off da clutch dun dump it. ease it off, ull grab n be in vtec range boiiiii. LSD helps this type of launching alot. shhhh keep itd/l though. i hada type R and i smoked everyone off da launch G'. take care peace
