Rattling!
are you sure it's the actual hatch?
I had a ton of rattling back there, but it was the plastic on the underside of the hatch that was coming loose and making squeeks whenever I hit a bump.
I just pushed it back into place until it clicked, and no more rattling

i've never looked at the hatch on my dc2 (since i haven't had problems
), but i know on my old EF, the rubber bumpers on the hatch were adjustable so you could stop rattling. they unscrewed a little to be longer or shorter depending on what you needed...
