HEYS GUYS I 'VE BEEN SEARCHING ALL NIGHT FOR THIS SEARCH I CAN SEEM TO FINF IT I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF THE HT MEMBERS CAN FILL ME IN W/ SOME INFO.... WELL MY SITIUTION IS THAT I HAVE A 5TH GEN ACCORD AUTO AND THE TRANNY WENT OUT SO FOUND ONE AT A LOCAL SALVAGE YARD FOR $350 HAD ABOUT 110K AND GOT IT INSTLLED FOR $250 AND IT WAS RUNNING SMOOTH FOR ABOUT A WEEK UNTIL TWO NIGHTS AGO WHEN IT WENT OUT. AGAIN I WAS SO HEATED!!!! WHAT COULD IT BE THE TRANNY AGAIN???? WELL I HAVE A 90 DAY WARRANTY. THEY ARE SENDING ANOTHER ONE TO ME ON MONDAY. THE THING IS THAT I DONT HAVE THE FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE REINSTALL , SO IAM WILLING TO INSTALL IT W/ MY BUDDY THIS WEEK , PLEASE I NEED A GOOD WRITE UP / PICS THANKS !!!!!!!

second, grab a cup of coffee and chill the **** out.

 

What do you mean it went out? What are some of the symptoms? Im guessing since you paid for just the transmission and just the installation you didnt get a new clutch and flywheel.

 

Was the TCU throwing any codes?

it's an auto, which means it uses pressure plates...this could be the source of the problem if they didn't get replaced...also, you don't shift your automatic do you?

 

Nevermind I was thinking he was talking about swaping it to a 5 speed, I read it wrong.

 

so you have to change the pressure plate on an automatic??? i think they just bolted on on stright from thw salvage yard?? any suggestion on the second time around ?? checking replaceing anything NEED HELP PLEASE???? pics / a good write up thanks ht
