Lagging
I am having a lagging problem when i launch my car. it doesnt kick in like it supposed to. i thought it was because i need a tune-up but other experienced people are saying that it might also be my clutch gettin ready to go up. so im bought to get a clutch kit and a major tune-up to see if any of them were the problem but if they arent does anybody else have any ideas on what it might be.
Do you mean bogging?
How exactly are you launching? The "best" way to achieve the best time is to lauch right under your peak torque rpm (which is pretty high on our cars).

Well, for best track times....
I'm not sure of the exact peak torque rpm of a GSR (that I assume you have from your username). I do know it's pretty damn high, though. Let's assume it's 7700rpm.
You want to launch at about 500-800 below that, so around 6900 - 7100rpm or so is where you want to keep your rev's at during the staging process.
When you go, make sure you slip the clutch fast. Don't drop it....SLIP it. That's the operative word here. It's actually the hardest part of the entire process. Too fast and you'll spin, too slow, and you'll ease into the gear. Also, you might bog as well.
Practice in a parking lot and see how it works.
Yes, the rpm sounds high, but that's the "proper" way to launch. It's tough on your clutch, but like I said, you should use that for the best track launch. If you're just fooling around on the street, launch a bit lower to save your clutch.
