to those with koni yellows and blistein's!
1) i noticed that koni yellows don't come in a type-r specific model.....does that matter? should i get the gsr ones?
2) blistein does make a type-r model.....which is why i'm considering them, but are they as adjustable as the koni's?

I believe Koni does make a Type R shock. At least Comptech sells a Koni Type R shock. I know of a few autocross Type R's with Koni's.
I believe Koni does *finally* have a Type R specific rear shock. Call them to verify as I spoke with a gentlemen at Nats this year who had just purchased them. Otherwise you can use the 88 CRX Si Koni yellow (8040-1078Sport). It's not externally adjustable, however
And Bilsteins are not adjustable. The only person who I know that went to them, actually said his car handled better with the OEM struts. He's a veteran autocrosser too, so I value his opinion.

I will be hard pressed to run anything but Bilsteins, in fact, I'll be running bilsteins on my ITA car.
I have the Bilsteins, I am very happy with. No they are not adj, but why do you need this option? That was just one more thing I had to keep up with, or mess with at the track. Install and go

I have the Koni on mine and they work great. Koni's catalog lists the 1078 for the rear which is what I have also. We sell the set here: http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...roducts_id=305
Front is externally adjustable, rear has to be adjusted while off the vehicle. I asked Koni at the SEMA show if they were ever going to make a specific shock for type R and they said no, too limited. He said the CRX one was so close that it wasn't worth it. The GSR has the same front shocks, but the rears will not fit the Type R.

Bilstein Sports
Autocrossers don't like Bilstein's because you have to warm the fluid inside a bit for them to become stiffer. A warm up lap is usually all that's required. I find they get stiffer by the 2nd or 3rd lap. As the typical autocross course is about 1 minute in length - they are not the best choice - mind you autocrossers do run crazy tire pressures too to account for their short courses.
For street/track use the Bilsteins are a good choice.

Do you guys think Bilsteins or Koni's are too much shock for springs rated:
350-front, 300-rear
Just wondering...

I got a quote back from shox.com and they said they are $349... The koni's were $549. Now I specified for a type R but somehow I think those prices are for non itr's... But maybe there is not a price difference between the bilsteins for either integra.

I just don't want a shock that is too stiff for that spring.
I don't know **** about spring / shock combinations.
TIA

And the GS-R Bils' will fit a ITR, but they would be the HD model, not the Sport model.
