new to the import scene, had some questions.
whats up. i just got a 98 integra Rs and had a few questions. first off i changed alot of **** when i got it ( has 113xxx miles on it, now at 118xxx), and my check engine light just came on. i put on a cold air intake, intake manifold, throttle body and headers ( stock muffler and cat till i get paid). engines fine but the warning lights are pissing me off. before i go spend some cash to check the trouble codes i wanted to know if a worn 02cencor will trigger the light. i did most the maintanance **** but the 02 was like 100 bucks so...**** it for now.
any way what should i expect to spend getting it diagnost from the dealer?
im kinda frusterated, the enterior is tan and it really needs to go, any one have links to a spot were i can get factory interior stuff? hmm i shoulda held out for one with black interior but im a poor sob and got a good deal.
oh, whats the diffrence between the b18b1 and the b18c5? not as far as hp but as far as internals. uhh...ok ill think of more **** to ask you all later.

first, check your code. to do that, remove the passenger kick panel, find this plug...

and bend a paper clip to stick both ends into the connectors.
turn the key to ACC, and count how many times it blinks. long blinks = 10, short = 1
ex. ill use ___ for long a long blink, and _ for a short blink. ___ ___ _ would be 21, ___ _ _ _ would be 13, _ _ is 2, etc.
then look in the integra forum. there is a sticky at the top that tells you what each code means. then you know what to fix.
and yes, an old O2 sensor can cause that. you can get them at any auto parts store like autozone, pep boys, etc for 10 or 15 bucks.
the difference between the b18b1 and b18c5? a lot. the b1 is non vtec, first of all. other than that, different pistons, rods, crank, the entire head and everything in it (cams, springs, valves, etc), intake manifold, and throttlebody. did i miss anything?

try cleanin the O2 sensor before actually buying one if that is the problem, sometimes they can get clogged up. as far as the interior goes you can search around here in the classifieds and sometimes get lucky enough to come across an interior set, or just hit up a local junkyard and see if you can jack a decent one off of someone's wrecked car.
P.S. Welcome
P.S. Welcome
a b18c5 is an acura integra type r engine
16-valve, DOHC inline 4-cylinder with VTEC
Horsepower 195@8000rpm
SAE net Torque 130lbs-ft@7500rpm
Displacement 110 cu in (1797 cc)
Compression ratio 10.6:1
Bore & Stroke 3.19 in x 3.43 in (81mm x 87.2mm)
Aluminum alloy block with cast iron cylinder liners aluminum alloy Cylinder Head
pretty much has all good stuff inside.
b18a or b
non vtec head
16v DOHC
has more torque though
basically not half as good as the type r but u can build a nice all motor ls block which is what the integra non vtec block is refered too, ls block is probably better for forced induction as well
