Default About to buy a '93 accord EX

Hey guys!

I'm about to buy this car tomorrow afternoon, and it's got just one little issue with the manual transmission: there's a slight syncro problem going into 3rd gear. Basically it feels a little like what it feels like when you go into reverse while you're still moving forward a little bit. Basically I can feel the gears inside knocking a little bit before I push it all the way into the gear. I'm just curious how this will affect the longevity of the transmission, and whether I should spend $500 in parts and labor to get it fixed now, rather than just dealing with it until the whole thing falls apart and needs to be replaced to the tune of 2 grand.

Thanks!

By letting it grind into gear your send fine metal through the trans basicly liquid sand paper. If you have the money get it fixed. Also replace the mainshaft front bearing it usually is the first to go. If you need to buy time change the trans oil and when shifting 3rd double clutch this usually slows down the gear enough so it won't grind.
