Spare Tire Space
I'm looking at upgrading to and S2000. I noticed the spare tire space in the trunk is very small and probably does not have enough room to hold the tire off the car. Does anybody know if a tire off the car fits there or do you have to put in the main trunk area?
The reason I ask is because I plan to take this car on trips, and if I have a GF and a couple of bag in the car and get a flat, I could be screwed.
Also any problems with using as a daily driver?
TIA
Jerold

Spare tire space is just for the spare tire that comes with the car. I HIGHLY doubt you could fit a normal tire for this car in there. If you get a flat, just throw on the spare and go buy a new tire for your wheel. I think thats the best I can give ya
Thanks,
I knew about the LSD thing, cause the ITR is like that too. I'm not worried about that because you can put the front tire on the back and put the micro-donut on the front.
Any issues on long trips?

I thought this was the case too but I have yet to pull off that magical tire in trunk trick.
The best thing you can do is get AAA.

A flat tire and rim will fit in the trunk. Its in the owner's manual. And, no, you are not supposed to put the sapre on the rear. You are supposed to put the good rear tire and the spare on the front, and the two good fronts on the rear. (that's in case of a flat in the rear. in case of a flat in the front, you just change the flat for the sapre.)

those fix a flat spray cans work but they leave a nasty residue on the inside of your rims (for those that care about that).
A stock size wheel/tire combo fits in the well of the trunk upright easily if your trunk isn't full.

Once that is removed, then there is room for the tire being upright.

you can rinse that fix a flat off once the tire is off the rim. I work at Discount Tire, we and that what we do. Fix a flat is such a pain in the *** though for all the reaons above.
