CV BOOT REPLACMENT HELP
CRACK CV OUTER BOOT
Ok I was wondering if anyone can help me, I just took out my driver side axle and I seperate the cv joint and that was e z after hitting on the ring with hammer, but now I put the new boot and found it hard as hell to connect the axle to the cv joint, theres this C-clip at the end of the post where it connects back to the CV joint. I guess its like a post lock.
It's so hard to get it flush while pushing it back inside the ball bearings, "CV JOINT" Hard to explain

Have fun. Just keep trying to push it in. It should go in, but i believe it only goes in one way. Then put the boot together. (of course your going to have the boot on while your trying to put it back in its slot )
what you need to do is slide the joint onto the axle shaft up to the clip and then appy pressure onto the joint against the clip. Now take a flat blade screwdriver and push one side of the clip up under the joint. then apply pressure to the side of the joint where you pushed the clip in first. now take the screwdriver and push the other side in the best you can while holding pressure on the joint. then just smack it with a hammer and it will go right over the clip. good luck
