Default How do you launch a k20a with LSD at the strip?

Sorry for the dumb and newbie question but do you have any tips?

I don't know if its my tires but I usually get some wheel spin launching it at 5k. How do you get more traction out of this?

Thanks!

what type of tires do you have?

and 5k is pretty high for a launch, unless you have very stick street tires or some drag radials.

I would try 3500 and keep going up from there till you lose to much traction off the line.

I would even try lower than that on street tires. Try 2000-2500 and see what happens. You have to find the sweet spot. You don't have come off the line real high unless you are on slicks.

You guy's have it ALL WRONG!! Let me show you how to launch... write this down ok? ..
First start up the engine.
Second put it in first gear.
Thrid REV it up to 8500 RPM.(hold it for about 10sec. at 8500 RPM)
Forth release the CLUTCH.
DONE!!!

2.2 is far from awesome but 2.2 is about as good as you can get on stock tires. of course you can't compare this to slicks or anything. on street tires, most ppl end up with not much better than 2.0-2.1's.

.1 sec in the 60 is .2 in the quarter so the less time there the higher ur trap speed the faster ur time in the long run....2 sec is almost a half a sec

If your wheels spin, ride the clutch a little more before letting completely off... this is just a feel thing. Launch isn't as important as heel-toe/3-pedal anyway. LSD works better in the corners, not off a launch. Anything with a k20a should be racing thru corners anyway even though the power is very impressive.
