Remember it wasn't totally stock... It was with a Comptech Icebox, high-flow cat, and power steering removed..........
But I think the #'s are damn high too, Ryan you lucky sob

Powerstearing removed, yeah, how much hp will that add? about 3whp? ...and the cat about 3whp..........the icebox another 5whp
5+3+3+8(adding to my weak engine)= 19whp okay...Iīm there and Iīve heard the 2000 and the 2001 models are a bit stronger, is that true?

p/s i've seen charts from 3-5 whp. high-flow cat & intake together might be more than 6 whp, but fine call it 6. If your car is at the bottom end of the spectrum an his is at the top, I'd say that range could possibly be 15 whp.

There's 24-26whp... I don't think it's that hard to fathom.

My 01 ITR STOCK made 168/120 on a Dynojet. [EDIT] And Lotus made 170 STOCK. [/EDIT] The numbers of the ITR at the test seem right to me.

151 is terrible for a Type R. Even the stock Celica GTS dynos higher than that. I'd give your car another run.

I would not be concerned with the actual numbers... just the changes that you get with your modfications.

You were on a different dyno..

I know a guy from Germany, he has only 149whp stock! We are using Bosch dynos and DIN correction. Maybe there is the difference.

I thought we had determined that the 00/01 intake cam had slightly longer duration?

As someone else has already said...don't worry about the beginning figure. Every dyno is different, and every car is different.
I think the beginning figure does play a role in some circumstances. One valid case would be where 2 cars had the same mods and they dyno their car the same day to find out that there's a significant difference between the numbers. The question now then becomes, what is a significant difference.

His car is most definitely on the strong side! My 01' with JDM DC, test pipe, and stock intake w/cover removed only put down 164.3/122.6 on a dynojet (f'n weak. )
