Default 2005 MotoGP in the US!!!

2005 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix is gonna be held July 8-10 at Laguna Seca.

Finally... my dream comes true. Valentino, Gibernau, Capirossi, Hayden, Edwards, Biaggi... all the supermen battling head to head on the meanest, most technologically advanced, not to mention the most expensive bikes money can buy.

Check out http://www.laguna-seca.com and get your tickets as soon as their available!

That ******* rocks!

I missed the deadline for the JGTC race @ California speedway this year in its inaugural US Soil run.

I don't plan on missing this.

This was announced back in the summer. And the tickets have been on sale since then. If you're not planning on camping out there, I would suggest booking rooms now!!!

I believe they recently announced that the AMA race will be held on the same weekend.

i'm actually thinking about doing that. But ****, that money adds up and that gets pretty pricey. I'm waiting to get prices on the package deals.

It would be a nice 3 day weekend camping trip though. Was reading the rules, and looks like they wouldn't allow any vehchiles can that can't registered. No 50s then

No they are not. I was going to do the Honda-Tech "Team Ticket group buy" thing that Tyson got together, but didn't have enough time to plan by the time I decided I could do it. They still have plenty of normal tickets left. Team Tickets are like $15 more and get you special parking, 10x10 space at the race, touring laps etc.... Search for a thread about it by Tyson for more details.

you can thank kenny for this one... again! I would rather they go to a better track for bikes. R.A. or E.L. I guess the first years is going to be a blast!

Thats gonna be one crowded weekend. I think all SoCal die hards will be there. Right in the middle of summer!! I've been to an AMA at Fontana California Speedway a couple of years ago and I've never seen so many people ride up to an event. I think thats when Nicky won on his RC. Gotta get the $25 pit pass. Get to small talk with techs and get glimpses of racers as they chill and wheelie around on there scooters.

Oh you can bet... crowds and squids and drinking. I was at the first spark plug 200 held at seca around '80 or so and they had over 100k per day the first year, after that it trailed off a bit. If you remember the spark plug 200, it was a race spec ifically in america for the 500cc gp bikes... NOT a points race, but the prestige and market place race that was so important that every manufacturer sent the top F1 equiptment here just for that one race... Thats how Kenny was able to enter the races as a privateer (after having long retired). Then it became a full blown F1 points race after a few years of nothing... now it's back as a motogp race, kind of nice (actually great) but I would like to see the motogp bikes at a much faster track.
Peace
Schu

Salinas/carmel is not daytona... it is tiny, quaint, and upscale... this daytona is not.
