crank pulley bolt
nope, its threaded like a normal bolt. The only thing that has ever worked for me is a 3/4" drive impact gun. Even the $120 1/2" impact gun didnt work....take it up to a tire place and give them $5 to take it off for you.
it was hell to get mine off, what I did was I borrowed a friends impact gun. It 700hp in reverse
I was ******* awesome. There is also a post on jdmuniverse.com in the how to section that tell different ways to get the crank bolt off.

I had one that a mobile tire truck couldn't get.
3/4 inch air gun and nearly 200 PSI behind it.
My boi Bradley worked at CO-OP and had to change truck tires all the time.
What finally DID get it was the Big AZZ brand pliers, and a 5 1/2 foot cheater bar.
Was still hard to push too. When it went, we thought we had broken it off in the crank. I was a little distilled if you know what I mean.
It was A-OK. One mother of a pearl to get off there though. Then we had to get the front balancer off. That was no picnic either. I admit, a lot eaier than the bolt but still no picnic.
just my 2¢ worth.

moroso b series crank pulley tool works wonders!
I had to wedge it against the ground to hold the pulley still, and then get a good-sized breaker bar and put all my weight into it. But, after arguing with impacts for awhile, it only too a few minutes to get it off with the breaker bar.
The thing with impacts is that its not all in the impact gun, its in the compressor. You have to be able to clock your compressor to put out around 175 pounds, most home units will only see 125.

Last time I tried to do it... I put on a stock flywheel, jammed a screwdriver between the flywheel teeth and the cement floor. a big screwdriver, and then I had a breaker bar on the bolt... Ya, that was an easy way to snap a screwdriver...
guess I gotta try an impact. or just buy a new crank bolt for my other engine.
