Default suspemsion for my GS-R

I want to upgrade my suspension I own a 95 GSR. I want to go with coilover and I researched it for a while, I am really interested in the TEIN Basic Coilover. Lately I have been hearing about OMNI coilovers and there is a set that is about the same price as the TEIN Basic. I just wanted to know which ones are better cause some people seem to not like the Tein Basic. Can I get your opinions it would really help. I just dont know much about the OMNI company.

depends what your doing....i got a 2001 gsr...just put tein basics on. i personally love the ride. it is pretty stiff for a basic coilover kit. but heres my advice. i got these coilovers because i wanted a stiffer ride with height adjustment capabilities. i dont really go to the track, so i didnt need dampening adjustment capabilities. see what your needs are. either way, B+G would be the way to go. check them out on modacar.com. they have speed sensitive shocks, that get stiffer as you go faster....they are expensive, but they are the ****...ill probably upgrade in around a year when the motors ready for the track....tein basics are great for me, i love em...still breaking em in...but ntohing more satisfying with hitting a hard turn with no body roll

Well my car is not gonna be track ready for a long time, I just want a decent suspension upgrade and I am looking for a stiffer suspension. But I have been hearing good stuff about the Omni Coilvers and I wanted to know if they are as good or better than the Tein Basic

Well I know tein suspensions are expensive and when my car is ready for the track than I can upgrade but that is why now I was just looking at the basic coilover but I still want to know about the Omni Power coilover and is it better than the basic Tein, I believe they cost about the same so I just want to get the better one.

search 'omni' in the archives, a lot of h-t have written reviews on them. personally i would go with the omni's because of all the good things about them. although tein products are great quality, keep in mind that the tein basic's are the cheapest full coilover available from them, the 'bottom of the line' if you will...

i would go w/ the tein ss for 150 more than the tein basics, they are 16 way damping adjustable(which will suit your track needs better), better than omni imo, and of course, better than basics.

they're not bottom of the line, theyre entry level....this is my first car im modifying...so why do i need to drop over a grand on a set of ss's or b&g's. fact is i dont, theyre not botom of the line, theyre entry level like i said, so you can get experience with the difference in ride...much more reliable then a shock/sleeve set up

basic coil over + shocks cost around 500? may be more just hang on to your money.....lot of people do mini upgrade and dont' realize you waste so much money....

well man...i think wat best for you...you can do anything u want....but keep in mind later you want to upgrade to TEIN full suspension then your old suspension is useless and worthless...no offensive here..

JIC's suck DACK.. they put these high *** spring rates out that their dampers are under-valved and can't handle... SEARCH and find the like 30 page long thread were they dyno's the JIC's.. TEINS are pretty good, but for the money i would rather have custom GC's, with GC race-pillow tophats, and Shortened and re-calved Koni yellows..

Just buy some Koni's now.. you can get a set for $475 shipped from an H-T sponsor.. and get some GC's later on man if you dont have the money..

The replies do not even pertain to you, so why are you talking about yourself? Also, if you spend more than 1k on tein SS, you have serious problems, since the MSRP is 1000.
