Default oil leak, b18c

Its dripping right off the bottom of the flywheel/clutch cover from the bottom beside the oil pan.

Cant tell if its engine or what. Its a greenish colour (its not coolant) and its dripping on the exhaust and smells like buring oil. (back back in the day we used to use old oil to get the stove going, so i know what it smells like)

Any idea's?

I did a pickup the other day, and ever since then ive noticed the smell, just not the leak. I used a new gasket, gasket sealer too!

Hmm It could be the Rear Main Seal ( behind the flywheel ) just a shot in the dark.. Mine was leaking when I put the motor in my CRX. Its a $15 part or less from the dealer but you have to drop the trans to replace it as well as take off the oil pan. Hope this helps.

If i took of the thin metal cover that covers the bottom part of the flywheel and clutch (piece you have to remove to get to oil pan bolts on tranny side) If it was bone dry in there would it rule it out?

It was the oil pan gasket. When i did the pickup the gasekt went on a little crooked on the tranny side there. It was a tight spot so i couldnt tell. It poped out about half way in some spots and was was rubbing on the flywheel.

Im 99% sure this is my prob beacuse when i pulled the pan after it was drained. It was wet between the block and the gaseket and the pan and the gaseket where i thought it was leaking. Everywhere else was dry.

Thats good.. You wouldnt wanna have to pull the trans and the clutch and
all that for cheap rear main seal..
