Default airbag connections the same for 94-01?

Tried searching, but i couldn't find an answer. Would an oem Integra 98-01 steering wheel and airbag fit in my 95 and still be functional? or are the connections different? thanks!

No, it won't. The connectors are different, if fact everything about the systems is different. 94/95 are unique for SRS systems. 98-01 is all the same; but I'm not sure about 96/97.

What exactly are you trying to do? It is possible to put a 98-01 steering wheel in a 95, but you'll have to keep the 95 airbag. If you're intent on having a newer airbag, you'll have to replace the entire system: SRS computer, harness, clockspring, and passenger airbag.

at the moment i have tan interior, with a rubber wrapped tan steering wheel, I was going to replace the tan plastic steering column pieces with black ones and get a black leather wrapped steering wheel from a 2001 ITR. I was wondering if I can disect the insides of my old bag and move them over to the new black bag I'm getting? The other option is to buy a bag from a 94-96 integra or paint the tan one I have.

Thanks.

I put a black leather-wrapped 2001 wheel on my 94 LS, so I've tried to do the same thing. I ended up using only the steering wheel, and keeping my old airbag. I didn't see any way of replacing the airbag covers; I don't think you can remove them.

The easiest thing to do is probably just paint your old one to match. You can also think about replacing the entire SRS system; used parts aren't that much if you look around and get a good deal.

I think i may just paint the bag, seems like the easiest thing to do, do you have any Pics of your steering wheel and airbag? any suggestions on how to prep it and what kind of paint to use? Vinyl paint? thanks.

I have one photo on my website (under "Interior Modifications") showing the leather wrap I used to have. The new one doesn't look very different, except that it's not old and beat up like the old one. The airbag is the regular old 94-97 one which says "ACURA" on it.

I've never painted any interior items, but a lot of other people on here have. I believe Krylon Fusion is supposed to work well on plastic. Any paint that adheres well to plastic should work fine on the airbag cover.
