Came to the experts for some answers...
Ok, first off, I put an 2.5 inch tip on my car and honestly the shop did a pretty bad welding job (it kind of sticks out farther than it should) and its so heavy that it bounces up and down making a very irritating sound. I guess I could buy some type of bracket for support, but I don't want to even bother. Keeping that in mind, I want to get another tip similar to the stock one but bigger piping and a nice tone. Does anyone have any experience purchasing anything like this? I want it to be the two pipes on one side or maybe even just the stock tip rewelded again.
Alright second question is..what cai can I buy for my 4th gen that is under $100 and has a great sound / great power gain? By great power gain, I mean equal to iceman caliber or similar anyway, heh. I suppose short ram is fine too because winter is coming.
Ok, this one may have been covered, but exactly how fast is an automatic h22 in a 4th gen? 1/4 time preferred, but if its not known, thats fine.
Last question would be..is there any cheap catback exhaust that is universal with vtec / nonvtec engines for my 4th gen? I do not have a big budget as you can tell, but I would like to see some gains. If this is out of the question, let me know, because through my research I really haven't found any respected exhaust system for under $350.

why the hell would you get just a tip? super rice. save up and get a full catback exhaust system.
a cat back should just be a cat back. as far as i know the only one that is different is the 5th gen. all others should be interchangable in their generation. if you want a good catback to go kteller.com and get the piping and a muffler.
as far as an intake. ebay. get a plain jane ebay intake. we dont have anything like the ITR guys with their J's racing intake. all of ours are a pipe and a filter. cant really **** that up too much.

79.95 isnt a bad price, but for 34.95 on ebay you can get the same thing.

My advice is to take a screwdriver and a hammer and bash that tip off. Then save up for a full cat back system.
Go for the ebay intake. They are simple to toss in.
I wouldnt recommend an H22 auto. If you are going to do a swap into an auto do a full conversion to manual. You will be much happier with the results.
Bottom line is you are gonna have to shell out cash and lots of it to get your car where you want. Its addictive and they really should have some sort of support group for us with spending problems.
Good luck,
RG
