Lot's of R's for sale lately... What gives???
I have noticed a lot of cars for sale lately on here. You guys just tired of the cars or is it the theft problem. I should of held out before buying my car cause I could have gotten a nicer one from one of you guys.
You guys be careful with the sales and don't let just anyone drive it.

I have mine and no plans of selling it...
I would guess one of big problems is theift, which I don't have- even living in Brooklyn

Theft rates, insurance rates, general fear of taking their R to the local eatery.
Also, people just grow out of cars. People are starting families, and businesses.
Not to mention the array of cars that are out there. (STi, EVO, new vette)

e-wood......
Jeah i think theft is a key variable in most people's decision for selling....i think a lot are just getting older and cannot play anymore b/c their wives are laying down the law.....biatches
. In all seriousness though...i think some have realized that a house, or more practical caR is more important in the eyes of family

Most people selling the car needs a more practical daily driver. You rarely see a person selling their weekend/garage queen/track ITR. So, it seems to me like that people are fed-up with getting negative attention & paranoia.

More practical, no. More fun, maybe. Less paranoia, most definitely.

I suppose another thing is that summer is over and there is usually a wave of "summer car purging" in the fall when some "serious" thinking goes on before caRs start going into storage. Though I don't believe it was as bad last year.
I drive mine everyday for work. Not just to and from but I do onsite work as well. I had always wanted one and I think once I pay off my current one I'm gonna start looking for another one.
Type R for life y0! My type R is used for everything. Daily Driving, winter driving, bringing my mountain bike to the trail, going to the Mall
, going to college, whatever.
I however am probably a little less paranoid than the normal ITR driver since I live in Nebraska.
-Larkin whos still paranoid though

You know funny how last week there was a thread about a article in a magazine commenting about how car manufactures are using ridiculous names for there cars and how the Type-R has come and gone.
I wish that more people would see that, There would be less theft, and more enjoyment. It's a shame that some of us can't even own a certain car or item because of other peoples disrespect. I would say that most people here sell there cars for three reasons
Grew up (Families, Personal, Convenience)
Theft (nuff said)
Insurance (Man most young adults 20-24 get raped in insurance)
but out of those Theft is the main one, the sad part is that there is no way to stop it. Except buy selling your car, I guess when the big hype on R's goes down, we all can enjoy peace in owner a remarkable car.

Yeah. Lack of cargo space does hurt a bit. But that goes for just about any roadster 'cept perhaps a Boxster. More fun? Uhmmm.
Less paranoia? What paranoia. Heh.

haha, i'll list reasons i would get rid of my R for, but i am definitely NOT getting rid of the R
-Theft
-Practicality
-RIDICULOUS insurance
But for other people, i'd imagine after a while they would want a more comfortable drive, need to sell for downpayment on house, etc. But what gives the most, is THEFT. paranoia sucks

thank God i havent had any trouble with thieves either, and my insurance isnt bad, 190 amonth.
My car is in the garage 8 months a year. I put alot of security on it and don't drive it to theft hangouts so my theory is i'll have it until I crash it.
