gas milage on a 92 accord ex
Ive got a 1992 accord ex, and i think i am getting horrible gas milage. When my tank is empty, the tripometer says im getting about 190 miles to the tank. This seems like horrilbe gas milage, and hondas are supposed to be good with gas. How many miles is my car supposed to get on a tank, because 190 seems very low. Or is something wrong with the engine? Imput please.
Best way to measure gas mileage is to fill up, reset trip odometer, then drive until almost empty. Then fill up again noting the number of gallons you put in and the number of miles driven since the previous fill-up. Divide the miles by the gallons and that is your mileage.
Try it that way and see what you get. It ought to be in the 20 - 24 range for city driving I would think. My 2000LX 4 cylinder sedan gets 22 - 25 city.
