Default Swap?

Hello guys this is my first post here so be kind

I am interested in doing an engine swap for my 1990 Accord LX (Manual) I was wondering what kind of swaps are avaiable for my car. I know the h22 is, but from what I hear thats a heavy motor. I really want to go with the B18c1 DOHC VTEC (GSR) but I don't know if that would fit in my car. Any ideas?

of course it will...that actually is a better swap....for one you can find a lot more stock OEM internals with thats set up.
Like the ITR 4.75finaldrive gear for that GSR tranny and among other things.
If I had a 90acc....I mos def would go with a CRVTECH...But be careful of piston to valve clearances.

Lies, lies, lies.......you don't have a ******* clue about this do you?? The 4th gen. Accord (90-93) is too heavy for the B series which don't make enough torque to lug around the Accord. A 3rd gen Accord is better suited to a B swap. Your best option, both money and ease of swap wise, is an H motor. Do some searching on this site and you'll get lots of info

Never trust the info of someone who can't even spell VTEC correctly

this all comming from a guy with the name "h-series lx" too.... b series are known for being able to rev high....but they are also known for having to rev high just to make their power.... and when they are up there...they dont even make that much power... their torque numbers are worse than our accords WEAKEST engines torque numbers. only an ITR or b20/vtec would compare to, lets say, an f22a1's torque numbers... which is rediculous when it comes to having to spend something like 3000+ just to get less torque and more hp. h22a is the best swap hands down money wise and power wise. now the best performance upgrade you could do is a turbo setup. when it comes to cost to power ratio....turbo is the way to go. but if you just want to do a swap, h22a is the way to go, and there is a great guide to installing one into a 4th gen in the basic guide to accords up at the top of the forum. read up and enjoy ur accord

f22b2, drops right in, 1/3 the cost, just as reliable

Thanks for the input. I am planning on turbo'ing the car. I just wanted to see my options cause I heard that an H22 is a direct fit, but I also heard that the B16 is way lighter. So thanks for the help guys

actually the b16 really isnt all that much lighter... and the weight really wouldnt make much of a difference anyways.
