I just recently done a head job to get everything back to stock. I had supposedly 8 bent intake valves. I believe the previous owner of the car never changed the timing belt and believe it may have skipped like 4 teeths on the cam gears. I replaced all the valves and sanded down the head so it was flush. I have full compression on all my cylinders now but the only problem is I feel that I am slower than what I use to run with the bent valves. I had bad compression with the bent valves they were all scattered : 160, 148 , 140, 120. I now have full compression of 185, 185, 185,185 all the way across. To me I believe I should be running a lot harder but I am not. I think maybe my vacuum hoses may have been not connected right but I checked them and it seems to be in order. I don't understand what else could be the problem. If anyone has an idea on what the problem could be please tell me.

Can you elaborate on this? What exactly is happening..

 

did ya put 91 octane in the tank? that will make your car feel slugish as a ****.

 

Lets just say that a nearly stock CRX Si is keeping up with me and Its kinda of embarassing.
