Default clutch slipping help..

ohk guys i know ill need a new clutch soon. i have a 00 civic si. the person before me tore the clutch up and had nitrous. stock civic clutch can not handle 200+ hp.. or 160+pounds of torque IDIOT!@!!@. so anyways i thought it was my subs blowing up because thats the smell i was getting. then i put it in third gear and watched the rpms go up but no speed and then it kicks in.

so here are the questions i have.
how do i maintain this clutch and make it last as long as i can.
where can i get a good clutch/flywheel for a good price.
also since im changing this should i put in lsd??
the price in labor to change the clutch/flywheel is 350.
a clutch and flywheel will prolly cost me 400. i want atleast stage 2. i have basic bolt ons pushing 150hp to the wheels but i plan on boosting. if i get the lsd installed later how much will it cost. and how much will they add to the 350 to install it when they do the clutch. also anyone know a place to get cheap lsds that can handle 300pounds of torque.. i dont plan on making my ride have more then that anytime soon but it would be nice. i saw the review on the obx... looks like a good deal but still is pricey at 400.. im going to do a search but any input would be helpful.

god is paying me back from the last post i made. that was my first locked post hehe. anyways i still think it would be cool to shock people that tried to open your car door. have a disclaimer/warning to avoid liability issues. also for the smart asses that said just break a window.. well when they break the window they usually unlock the door then open it.. they can have a fun time getting my whole system threw the window lol. plus i always keep the trunk locked.. really i think the electric shock is a good idea.. have seperate capicitors in the door. i dont really care about others safety when it comes to breaking in my car. release the hounds!

thanks honda-tech team

for your clutch problem. I'd just get a new one... and find a buddy that can do the work for you to save on cash, I'm sure a H-T memeber would help you out for a few bones, but definatly cheaper than $350...

Lsd is like $400 for a decent one, and If your gonna be doing tranny work do it all at the same time, It's just a pain... (a friends just did mine as I looked on and helped when he needed me to, and it's a bitch..)

as for your other rambling section of your post.. I don't know what its refering to but dude drop it already, grow the **** up and realize not everyone is gonna like your idea...even if it is a good idea...

while you have been a member for a while. i didnt disrespect you nor have i disrespected anyone. as for my rambling post. my post was intended for humor. 4 civics were stolen this week. there had to be an ice breaker. and my idea is still pimp. ill do it my damn self and take pictures and post them. i dont hate on others ideas. lectures are a waste of time. i respect the constructiveness of your post. the other post was intended to be beneficial to the honda-tech website even though there was a little humor. other people made it a comedy skit which was rather enjoyable to read however lacked substance. one person wrote get a boot for your tire. thats perhaps the best thing to do.i myself park first in my driveway and have my girlfriend park behind me..

Clutch slipping topic and posts do not relate to your electric shock theft protection topic or posts? thats my point! H-T is overwhelmed with this kind of stuff...

If you feel the need to spread this idea to everyone again and again, put it in your sig?

If you feel theneed to discuss this more PM me, so this thread can stay on topic "Clutch Slipping"

go ahead and shock people. post a reply from jail when you get the chance. its been done. people have been sued.

id say that pretty much ends the discussion.
