Tien Coilovers and Fender-well Clearance??
I was wondering which of the Tien Coilover package offers the most bang for the buck? I've heard that the Base Coilovers absolutely suck...
Next, I was reading an article yesterday about a Supra with Tien Flex Coilovers having clearance issues under hard turning... even at max stiffness the tires were still rubbing... Sorry, I can't remember what size the tires were...
So, have there been any clearance issues with the 4th or 5th Gens? ...17's? ...18's? ...19's? - Hahaha. And what is a good way to fix this little rubbing problem... Any specific methods or kits?
Thanks!

Well I am running a 4th gen H22 with 17x7 wrapped in Kumho Ecsta Supra 205 40 17s slammed 2.9'' and I have no issues at all.
I could even go to an 18 if I wanted and it would TUCK my tires.
By the way I am running the TIEN SS full coilover setup.
The ride is still fantastic and the performance is amazing.
For everyday driving I raise the car back up 1inch

Since you're in NH, I suggest you go with the Tein Flex. (Teflon coated for rust protection)
I had the Tein SS on a 5th gen w/ 215x7.5/40/18 lowered with about 1 finger gap around. The only time it rubbed is when I go over dips/pot holes/bumps on the highway.
Everytime it rubbed the tire ate into the inner upper wheel well, it was kinda bad, bare metal was shown.
My suggestion is, A) get 17 inch rims, not 18s. B) Don't drop the car too low if you do get 18s.
For rubbing issues while turning, look into wheel offsets, the higher, the less chance of rubbing while turning.
My rims were 48+, never rubbed at all.
