How do you remove the ignitor ?
How do you remove the ignitor, do have to remove the distrubutor to get to the ignitor ? I looking at the helms manual but it isn't really clear on how to remove it. If I have to remove the distrubutor is it just those 3 bolts, also how do I know if I am putting back correctly, I figure it should match up the the grove on the end of the intake cam, but how do I know that I didn't put in on backwards.
Thanks for any help

I feel it's easier if you remove the distributor...remove the cap and rotor and leave the wires attached to the cap.
When putting back the distributor, it should go in smoothly...do not force it in...if you look closely, you'll see that the groove isn't exactly centered.

Easiest way is to remove dist/ from engine.
But before you do, take a screwdriver and small hammer and make a stamp across the dist/head seam. That way no need to re-time.

u can do it pretty easily by just taking the cap off while leaving the distributor on... the coil can be taken out if its on as well... and yea... u can mark it on the top so u dont have to do the timing but i would do the timing again anyway just to be safe...
oh and it goes on only one way... it just slied in... if it doesnt... turn the part that goes into the cam 180 degrees and it should go right in... there is no need to shove it in... if u do then ur doing it wrong... and remember the firing order! for some stupid reason i mess them up from time to time
