renting out a garage
to those who don't have a garage for their bikes:
just wondering if any of you ever thought of/ or have rented out only garage space from people who place ads in the classifieds who offer room and a garage to its tenants.
as most of you already read from my previous posts, as much as i love my parents; my choice is to own a bike.
anyways.. a whole another thread ha..
so even if the parents knew i had a bike, there would be no place for it in the garage. I duno how many of you have bugged your friends about their garages, i know i've done my share hah. When i see an empty clean garage, i'm like wow.. this would be a great place for my bike.
I've tried looking into storage places, although living where i am, a small 5X5 room that prob won't fit my bike will cost me 79 bucks a month. Plus being the rain season down here in socal, not feeling too comfortable leaving it in the backyard with a cover.
I'm gonna give these people a call and see if they will let me rent out just garage space for less than 79 bucks/ a month
if not i always have my friend's garage who offered a permanent home, thing is he lives in mission viejo/ RSM area...

i would be kinda weary about something like that. its hard enough trying to trust people, let alone leaving your bike there overnight. but if you can find a way to make it work, then go for it.

I dont wanna post here just to talk **** but jeez guys get your fucken prioritys straight. Get the **** out of your parents houses and THEN buy a bike. I was out of the house when I was 17 and have never been back, did everything on my own and I can tell you with a straight face I'd do it the same way all over again.

I keep my bike at my friends house, who has a garage. He lives prob about 2-3 miles away. So yea, i gotta go to his house everytime i wanna ride, plus someones gotta be home. Pointless to leave it at my place, cause first, i got no where to park it, and it will prob get jack. So its probably staying at his house untill I move. I would only wanna leave it with someone who has a bike and rides. I wouldn't want to leave it with someone who doesn't know how. I've had friends offered, and told em to **** off. And yea, i wouldn't trust a private party either.
anyway, i see you've finally decieded to get a bike and hide it from your parents. LoL.
