question about different prelude models
i know the third gen has the 4ws option, and some of the 4th gen si models have 4ws, but do any of the vtecs in the 4th gen or any of the 5th gen models have 4ws?
not exactly.... it works on a totally different principle...
4WS involves all for wheels, while ATTS involves only the front two drive wheels.
while 4WS makes all four wheels steer when turning, ATTS simply makes the outside drive wheel pull faster than the inside.

1993 Si was the last model in the us with 4WS wasn't it? I wanna say VTECs came out the next year.

i thought vtec came out in 94 - i haven't heard of any us honda models being vtec until 94. the del sol, civic, preludes all had vtec in 94.
also, if the 4ws was offered until 95, did any of the vtecs have it? or just the si models?

Actually, technically the VTEC model in 1993 was called the "Honda Prelude Si VTEC" in US Honda sales literature. In 94-96, it was refered to as the "Honda Prelude VTEC".
The "Honda Prelude Si 4ws", sold from 1992-1995 in the US, was never available with VTEC. You can build one, by putting an H22a in an "Si 4ws" model... I know a local guy who did just that.
