who sells a universal chromoly main hoop(prebent)??? Competition Engineering/Chassis Engineering I think sells the main hoop, but in MILD STEEL only...

How the heck can there even be a "universal" part. I mean, the only way it could be universal is if it's so small it can fit in anything, which makes it useless.

This is like getting a "universal" headlight assembly for your car... how could it ever fit?

What grade chromoly is it? Everyone has this misconception that chromoly is the greatest thing next to titanium. Think about what you just said, it's "mild steel only".

I would venture to guess 4130, since that's 99% of what's sold to the general public.

 

our team just got our main hoop back from being bent, unfortunatly the place fucked it up and now we're out some nice steel, time to reorder....

Did they just bend it in the wrong place, or did it buckle/crack?

 

try Art Morrison.they sell weld in kits,and offer them in chromoly.so,i can't see why they wouldn't sell just the hoop....

It was suppose to be one even radius across the top, but we have two different bends and a flat spot. The angles aren't even the same, so it looks totally lopsided and ghetto... To ghetto even for our car
