Today i was driving and it was raining pretty hard. And as with many cars, the inside does begin to fog up. I drove my car to school this morning with no problem, AC at full blast to defog my car, worked perfectly.
When the school day ended, i drive home with no problem until the car began to fog up again. I turned on the AC to the first click...and thats when i noticed smoke coming from the center left vent. I dont know whether it was just mist or actual smoke, it smelled kinda funny. Smoke was white though. when i say mist, i mean like when its really cold and you breathe, its that kind of mist, but i'm not sure. Help...Thanks!!

what'd it smell like? Sweet sugar smell (coolant from leaky heater core), might also be freon or oil from the compressor. See what it does tomorrow but it sounds like you probably got a leak. Depending on how old your ride is, I don't think the R12 is good to be breathing in.
i thought the "mist" was just water vapor..my 01 accord has that too somethings.. just for a few seconds tho.. it only happens when i use the ac for a while.. then turn it off, and when i turn it back on.. i see white smoke for like 4-5 sec.

Well, it didnt really smell like anything, but it was white. Its a 1991 Accord with 262k miles.

Thats the exact same problem as me...but this only happened once, yesterday. But we'll see. Maybe it was because it was so cold and the AC wasnt as cold yet...
