Default 5th gen or v-tec accord turbo WHP

Im looking for any one who has dyno whp numbers on a turbo v-tec accord. If no one has any numbers then post what would be a good guess at 8psi with stock internals running a stand alone...just an estimate nothing definate. Ill be able to drive my boosted 5th gen by sunday so i was just wondering what i should expect

150-500whp. There are too many variables to account for.

you will def be over 200, i have seen 283 whp on 10 psi stock internals, so i think you will be around 210-225 whp

Aight sounds good to me, ive seen anywhere from 184 to 215 seems like its well worth the effort to boost these f22's. Ill have a tuned map real soon for uberdata on a f22b1 turbo probably next week if any one is running uberdata hit me up. Any more numbers?

so your engine is virtually stock except for the turbo? tell me about this install...how much was the turbo, what was involved in making it happen? is it anywhere near street legal?

due to the low compression and relative strength of the F22 cylinders, you are capable of running a decent amount of boost on stock internals (i would say 10psi is pushing it). of course, to do this, you would need to run a compression check to see if your internals are even worth a damn. you can buy kits that are CARB legal and all that great stuff, but they will run you in the area of $2k ~ $3k. a lot of people opt to build their own turbo setups by parting everthing together. this can save you a lot of money....it all depends on how capable you are.

a turbo will cost you a lot of money...period. running on stock internals is all fine and all, but i decided to build my bottom end....im a puss i know.

the most important part of a turbo setup (other than the turbo) is the engine management. DO NOT SKIMP ON THIS PART. you need to pay whatever it takes to get your setup tuned. tuning will make your car run at its peak performance level, and you won't have to fear detonation, and all that good stuff (granted the person who tunes it is capable, and you dont do stupid things)....blah...anyway im sick and tired....

there are no CARB legal kits for accords that I know of.

truesleeper - running the AFC hack and about 7 psi on a blown 3rd cylinder I put down 203 HP/205 TRQ on my turbo F23

HP is dependant largely upon the tuning done and your fuel mgmt. I caution you not to beat on your car using an uberdata basemap, get tuned!

No theres no harsh treatment goin to my car even after i tune the map, my car gets me to college. What im looking for is some good mid range power to **** around with. my setup cost me about 2500 and i got twice the parts a kit would give you, with better menagement, and better parts, of course its going to take you time. You need custom fabricators in your area for down pipes and any charge pipe welding you need or any other misc. fabrication because you WILL come across it unless you go with an over priced, over show and no go (for very long) kit. A turbo setup on a non factory turbo car cannot call for a universal setup to do it right it has to be CUSTOM and that should be the fun part. On another note im liking what everyone is getting for power to the wheels its impressive...i suggest everyone go to http://www.ktrperformance.com/...n.htm and be suprised and what kind of competition your cars will be giving some of the more expensive high end factory cars.

hey truesleeper you're in MA huh? where at? I'm on the north shore.

My car's on KTR's web site, under "customer cars" - shows a dyno run from me on their AWD dyno when I had the FMU setup - 184 hp on the AWD dyno. Check it out - 98 accord.

Arn't the cb7's the 16 valve non v-tec? I may be wrong but i am pretty sure they are, im judging by your name "cb7tuner" that you own a cb7 which is the 90-93 non vtec accord. If im wrong let me know. If im right however im not sure how well my map will work with your car it may run it but i have a feeling you will need some tuning. I will be posting pics if honda-tech would authorize me to do more than play with my dick, everytime i try and do something it says "you are not authorized to do this" "you are not authorized to do that" I tried to get up and use the bathroom the other day and they said i wasnt authorized to **** for another half hour.....We must be on red alert or something...i will not be posting much because i am only authorized to 5 posts in a 24 hour period PEACE P.S. just remembered i have a tuned basemap for your car!! lucky you! However i will not hold responsibility for blowing up your car but i have a good friend who has run this basemap with great results and he has multiple people who use this map. Email shabarab02@hotmail.com...i dont know how the hell to post it on here and im probably not authorized anyway

yep 184 that one's mine! that was at 7 psi on an FMU, and it dipped VERY RICH in high RPM's

now I'm using the hack, and since I can't get an inspection sticker due to the hack (code 13) I'm gonna get the AEM EMS soon I think. frikkin **** state inspection...

I'm down for a meet once your car is done, maybe boston somewhere? (1/2 way for each of us)

BTW you can still post pics using the IMG HTML tags even if you're a trial user. You'll get better access soon, H-T needs the filtering with all the traffic... hang in there. -B

Accordfreak how long did you run 14 psi...did you regulate it and boost less daily driving then turn it up for the dyno? Thats a heavy load for stock internals but i guess thats what you can do with good management. Ho many miles where on your car? ....I cant look at the pictures they kill me, nice setup.

Aright heres some pics of the setup I got it goin and it is running beautifully..with some small problems i hope to fix soon. I drove it back to school 100 miles with no problems it was the best drive back to school ive made. I also found out my wastegate spring is not a 8psi spring by looking at my boost guage and seeing 15 psi oops that cant happen too much ill have to keep my eye on it and get it fixed...enjoy, ill have better ones soon these where quick snap shots. Not one bit of detonation even at 14 psi, untuned, gotta love the f22....wait i cant figure out how to post em lol someone help me out.
