Change JDM wheel to left side?
Im about to buy a JDM ITR, but has you all know the JDM ITR has RHD, that means I would have to adapt to this new driving style or change the wheel to the left side.
What Im asking here is if anyone ever made this change, if there were problems, the best way to do it. Sugestions... are welcome.
A friend told me maybe the best way would get a crashed car with LHD and use its parts.

when you say they are cheaper, does that include setting aside money to convert it to LHD? i would say just find a euro itr and save yourself the headache. check out the ITR forum as well, there are a number of euro users that could help you out finding one.

Driving on the right hand side is not hard.

he doesn't live in the US
from what he is saying, its cheaper to import a jdm itr than to buy a euro itr. read a little more carefully.

I also live in europe and JDM cars are big business here, i have owned 7 JDM hondas, 4 integras, 1 SiR civic, 1 SiR CRX and 1 prelude Si. I bought my 96spec ITR this year for a tad over $10k fully registered and on the road.(that price included the cost of the car and shipping, all taxes, registration and agents fee's)
To convert from RHD to LHD you will need a front clip from a LHD car to do it properly (but without the engine) battery cables, brake master cylinder, throttle cable and linkage, pedals and linkage, steering wheel and possibly steering rack (not sure on that one) all have to be swapped over, along with a LHD complete dash board etc etc, way too much work and would end up making your cheap import very expensive...it would be cheaper to buy a LHD Euro ITR and buy a JDM front end conversion if thats what you really want....either that or just learn to drive RHD. theres nothing really to it, passing out is a bit of a pain, but after a week or so driving you become accustomed to it, plus you have the added novelty of having a genuine RHD ITR in a land where you drive on the wrong side of the road (here in ireland we drive on the correct side...the left...lol )
